Data Philosophy

We maintain strict separation between public market capitalization (which fluctuates daily based on exchange trading) and private company valuations (which are episodic and based on funding rounds). Only the share of each value attributed to AI counts, and the combined Total AI Index Value is always shown with its public and private components.

When a metric is marked as "Illustrative", it means the value is derived or estimated based on secondary sources rather than direct primary reporting.
